Following the minimalist House codes upheld by previous creative directors such as Nicolas Ghesquière, Demna Gvasalia continues to explore the power and impact of the logo as the main feature of a piece. During his time at Balenciaga, the ingenious designer has presented numerous versions of the Maison’s signature lettering – including the famous Bernie Sanders-inspired iteration. With thishoodie, however, Gvasalia brings back details of the label’s original emblem, particularly the mirrored BB initials that used to be connected by three lines.
